Suffolk Puffs and French knots workshop

£50.00

This workshop is inspired by my favourite technique Suffolk puffs and my favourite stitch French knots.  Suffolk Puffs or Yoyos as they are known in USA are a gathered circle of fabric. Originating in 17th century England as a form of patchwork.

You will produce and combine a range of Suffolk puffs and experiment with French and Bullion knots and using a variety of threads and fabrics to produce a range of small samples that can be combined to make a small framed piece or further developed afterwards to produce a needle case or book cover.

All materials and equipment are provided, but you may wish to bring your own tiny scraps of vintage/ recycled fabrics, lace, threads, buttons, beads and haberdashery to personalise the work.

The workshop is 10 - 3pm
